When is the new Britney Spears single being free?

She’s keyed up for her new album to drop in March and in the interim Britney Spears has a hot new single on the way.

And in spite of the report from New York’s Z100 that “Hold It Against Me” was scheduled to release on January 7th, the “Baby One More Time” singer’s manager Adam Leber says nothing is in stone yet.

Leber tweeted, "Lot of misinformation out there regarding the release of Brits 1st single. Don’t believe everything you read. Unless of course it’s an official declaration coming in January. STAY TUNED….."

"That said, the single is absolutely coming in January. PS – happy new years people. Sorry guys, but never pay attention to unofficial announcements. Just trying to clarify. Please don’t ‘hold it against me.’ "

Jars of Clay & Sixpence None The Richer Christmas Tour

Grammy and Dove awardwinning band JARS OF CLAY are excited to announce LOVE CAME DOWN: A CHRISTMAS PAGEANT. Jars of Clay will be joined by the recently reunited SIXPENCE NONE THE RICHER, along with Sara Groves and Leeland, as they embark on a 13city tour filled with holiday songs and stories in celebration of the Christmas season.

Last year, Jars of Clay gave their fans a Christmas gift. CHRISTMAS SONGS was the first holiday release from the band in their 12year career. The band brought new light to memorable Christmas songs such as "O Little Town of Bethlehem" and "In the Bleak Midwinter," and broke new ground with their own original holiday songs such as "Winter Skin" and "Evergreen." When they decided to go out on tour this season, they asked their friends Leigh Nash and Matt Slocum of Sixpence None The Richer to come along.

Grammynominated band Sixpence None The Richer was in a similar position as Jars of Clay. Their loyal fans had been asking for a Christmas record for years, and they thought there was no better way to celebrate their reunion then with a special album for their fans. THE DAWN OF GRACE will be released on October 14 and is made up of 10 tracks: eight traditional Christmas songs, including "Angels We Have Heard On High" and "Silent Night," featuring guest vocalist Dan Haseltine of Jars of Clay, and two original Sixpence holiday tunes called "The Last Christmas" and "Christmas for Two."

Both bands are also in the process of recording new material to be released in 2009. Jars of Clay have been in and out of the studio with producer Ron Aniello (Lifehouse, Guster, Barenaked Ladies) to put the final touches on their upcoming album, due out in early 2009. They have already released the CLOSER EP on all major digital service providers in anticipation of the upcoming fulllength; the fivesong EP contains two brand new tracks ("Closer" and "Safe To Land"), as well as new versions of fan favorites including "Flood" and "Love Song For A Savior." They are currently in the midst of the "Music Builds" tour, which benefit local affiliates of Habitat For Humanity.

Sixpence None The Richer will hit the studio after the holidays to begin working on their first fulllength original record in over four years to be released in the summer of 2009.

Music – Life

Music is all which can be everywhere around us. Music is not only the piece of melody or the sound which comes from an instrument it is something which is sensed by soul. It can be from everything like the cry of toddler, running waves. Everything will seem much richer, much more luminous, and much more important, but music is the only thing which makes you cry when you want to cry, makes you dance when you are in joy makes you feel happy all the time.

Nowadays music is even treated as a good therapy for health to make a man relaxed.

Research has shown that music has a deep effect on your body and psyche. In fact, there’s a growing field of health care known as Music Therapy, which uses music to heal. Those who practice music therapy are finding a benefit in using music to help cancer patients, children with ADD, and others, and even hospitals are beginning to use music and music therapy to help with pain management, to help ward off depression, to promote movement, to calm patients, to ease muscle tension, and for many other benefits that music and music therapy can bring. This is not surprising, as music have effect on the body and mind in many powerful ways.

Music and noise are alike in many ways, but also diverse in some important ways. While noise is disturbing annoying and often a nuisance, music is soothing, peaceful, exciting, and has positive effects towards human emotions. Human feelings toward music or noise can be a comatose state of the mind or it may be a learned reaction and acuity. For example if we play music for a person who has never heard music in his life, he may die for it because it that much soothing and pleasant.Music has no end.

Our Music Creates Happy Feelings

Music conveys musical traditions and cultures together – ancient and modern – black and white. The conventional rhythms and stories of DidgeriSTU’s Yadaki (didgeridoo) weave during pumping electronic beats, vocals, exotic woodwinds and world drumming – a unique fusion of organic world sounds and electronic music like no other.

Australian band Oka has been jointly and their music has growth as quickly as their grass roots following.

They started out with their first appearance album ‘Elements’, a soulfully rhythmic ode to freezing beats and luscious melodies overlaying the Yidaki (didgeridoo) at its heart. Then they pursue it up with ‘One Talk’, a more eclectic album traditionally and gradually. Now they’re on the road on the back of their funkiest LP, ‘Music creates Me Happy’.

While its release Music create Me Happy has turn into the customer choice.

Stellar Kart releasing new album “Expect The Impossible” Feb. 26

Award-winning youth group rock band Stellar Kart inspires listeners to strive for greatness, taking comfort in God’s enduring faithfulness, on its third studio album, Expect The Impossible, releasing Feb. 26, 2008.

Produced by Ian Eskelin (Krystal Meyers, All Star United), who additionally co-wrote alongside lead singer Adam Agee on eight of the album’’s 11 tracks, Expect The Impossible is more sonically diverse than the band’’s previous projects, intended to connect with a wider audience.

“Sonically, we wanted to shoot for a broader sound,” says Eskelin. “Stellar Kart has never been afraid to challenge the current trend, so we decided to incorporate some new elements. This album will please the band’’s die-hard punk fans while offering something to straight-up pop and rock lovers as well. The goal is to meet listeners where they are, driving an emotional connection to the music.”

Among the project’s recurring themes is that of striving to achieve one’s best self in Christ. For instance, “Shine Like The Stars” calls believers to emanate God’s light in all circumstances, while “I Give Up” reflects the need for complete submission to Him. Also prevalent is the message of God’’s faithfulness to those who love Him. “Sunshine” likens God to sunshine on a rainy day, and “Pray” urges listeners to “hold on to the promise that help is on the way.”

“We talk with kids after concerts and are always hearing from youth leaders about the issues facing teens today,” says frontman Agee. “We wanted to write songs that would address such topics and encourage kids to expect God to work in their daily lives.”

The record’s debut single, “Jesus Loves You” will be going for adds at both Christian Adult Contemporary and Christian Hit Radio Jan. 4, 2008. Additionally, Stellar Kart will kick off its annual “Punk the Halls” tour in late November, playing 25 dates in 27 days, while continuing as a headlining artist at Acquire the Fire events nationwide. Personal Music Players Damage Hearing Over Time

Study found dramatic increase in hearing loss among teen girls who used them

Personal music players may pose a major risk to hearing if they’re played too loudly or for too long, researchers report.

The 24-year study included 8,710 girls from poorer families, average age 16, whose hearing was tested when they entered a residential facility in the northeastern region of the United States. Between 1985 and 2008, high-frequency hearing loss — a common result of excessive noise exposure — among the girls nearly doubled, from 10.1 percent to 19.2 percent.

Between 2001 and 2008, personal music player use among the girls rose fourfold, from 18.3 percent to 76.4 percent. During that same period, high-frequency hearing loss increased from 12.4 percent to 19.2 percent, and the proportion of girls with tinnitus (ringing, buzzing or hissing in the ears) nearly tripled, from 4.6 percent to 12.5 percent, the investigators found.

Girls who listened to personal music devices were 80 percent more likely to have impaired hearing than those who didn’t use the devices, the study authors reported. Of the teens with tinnitus, 99.7 percent used the devices.

Other factors in the girls’ lives — such as poverty, poor air quality, substance abuse and risk-taking behavior — could add to the effects of noise exposure from personal music players, she said.

The findings, released online Aug. 31 in advance of publication in an upcoming print issue of the Journal of Adolescent Health, indicate the need to improve efforts to educate young people about safe use of personal music players, Berg suggested.

"You have to target them at a much younger age, when they are liable to be more receptive," she said.

Lady Gaga Wants To Be A Design Teacher

Anyone who’s ever sat through a college class knows it’s hard enough to pay attention without the added distraction of a professor who’s dressed like amazing from one of Tim Burton’s acid flashbacks.

In spite of, Lady Gaga has applied for a teaching job at New York University, and I say it’s about time. If more of my professors had lectured while hanging from the upper limit in full leather bondage gear, maybe I would’ve actually learned something in school.

Yesterday, a friend of Gaga’s exposed that the freaky singer is actively seeking a position at NYU’s Parsons School for Design. “She wants to use her fashion sense and avant garde art obsession to launch an academic career,” the friend told a UK newspaper.

“Nothing has been finalized yet, but she’d like to teach in the fashion design program. She thinks teaching would make people see she is much more than just a flamboyant pop star.”

Dr. Dre Snapped Filming ‘Kush’ Music Video With spy Dogg

Just days after "Kush" was escaped, Dr. Dre was pictured on the downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, November 17 to shoot its music video. Snoop Dogg who lends his vocal on the track was seen on the set as well. Both of them looked causal with Dre in his white long-sleeved T-shirt and denims, and Snoop in his basketball T-shirt, jacket and a yellow "Sakana-kun" hat. The other featured guest, Akon, was nowhere to be seen although.

Although eager to promote the song, Dre actually was anxious with nowadays’ music leaks. "It’s a little bit unlucky with the technology today. (Kush) got leaked and it was a version of it that I really wasn’t happy about, (but) we’re going to go ahead and push it and put it out because everybody appears to like it. I just thought the content, it’s about weed smoking, and I don’t want people to think that that’s what my album is about. This is actually the only song with that type of content," he said.

Two other songs which have already been holded by music fans are Jay-Z-assisted track "Under Pressure" and Eminem-featured song "I Need a Doctor". Still, Dre needs "about two or three more songs" to get to "the finish line" of his much-delayed album "Detox".

"I’m seriously excited about it. It’s feeling good now. One of the reasons it was taking so long is because I felt like I was doing it more out of obligation as opposed to really feeling it. As of last year, I’ve been really feeling where it’s going and it feels good and I think I’m ready."

New Avalon record Reborn “Not your Mom’s Avalon&quot

While Avalon is certainly proud of their past (21 chart-topping singles, 6 Dove Awards, 3 Grammy nominations and an American Music Award), it sure would be easy for the quartet to rest on their laurels and continue to offer their known slick brand of vocal pop. But they are now Reborn, their aptly titled brand new project, slated for release on September 15th (E1 Music).

It is important to note that the similarity between any previous Avalon albums and Reborn ends now, thanks to this cutting edge and unequivocally original record. "Reborn is a fitting title because it signifies the birth of something new and exciting, which is certainly true of the current season of Avalon," explains Janna Long, the group’s founding member. Comprising the rest of the quartet is Greg Long (Janna’s husband and group member since ’03), Jeremi Richardson, as well as its newest member, Amy Richardson, making her Avalon debut on Reborn, and who also happens to be Jeremi’s wife.

"I’ve literally listened to Avalon for as long as I can remember, so I can tell you both as a member and a fan that people’s jaws are going to hit the ground when they hear Reborn," asserts Jeremi, who joined the group in 2007. "Everyone I’ve played it for so far says they’d never expect it, but at the same time, they can totally tell it’s Avalon, which to us is the ultimate compliment."

One of the most instantly apparent changes comes in the credits, which for the very first time in the group’s illustrious history unites the group with producer Ian Eskelin (All Star United, Krystal Meyers, Stellar Kart, Francesca Battistelli). It’s a curious choice indeed considering his respected rankings in the modern rock spectrum, but one that helps cement Avalon’s latest endeavor as arguably their most ambitious to date.

"This has been one of the most unique and fun recording projects I have ever been involved in," Ian Eskelin exclaims. "These guys are fearless and their vocals are killer. They are some of the hardest working, ready for anything, talented musicians I have worked with."

A tour is slated for the Fall to promote the new project. This is sure to be an exciting time on the road for Avalon as the group is more than ready to share their new songs with fans across the country.

For the creation of Reborn, Avalon partnered with the label E1 Music. Along with the new venture came a completely open creative canvas where the group was encouraged to stretch itself further than ever before. Previously known as Koch Records, E1 Music has hosted the diverse likes of The Beatles’ Ringo Starr, Ashley Cleveland, Twila Paris, and Bishop E. Long.

"They took all the reigns off and basically said, ‘you’ve been doing this for awhile, so just do what you do,’" recalls Greg of the E1 experience. "No one was ever looking over our shoulders talking to us about core demographics, which gave us the chance to just focus on the artistic side. We love our history and are grateful for everything God’s given us, but that type of freedom also allowed us the opportunity to experiment and have a lot of fun in the process."

Reborn offers aggressive melodies tied with atypical harmonies and guitar-driven moments. The new sound is sure to give dedicated Avalon fans a new twist on the group’s well-known formula, while expanding its appeal to a wider audience than ever before.

"Over the last three years, we released a hymns record, a covers record and a retrospective record, plus had some members change," Janna reflects. "Between that and the fact that life was just happening right alongside it all, there’s a pivotal change and evolution. Sure, the vocal standpoint is consistent with the Avalon sound, but the rest is much more varied. This is definitely not your Mom’s Avalon record!"

"Live Life Loud is really about encouraging our fans to do just that. To live your life loud, to embrace all that life brings your way and experience every moment of it to the fullest extent. This is the message we want our fans to come away with after they hear the album." — Hawk Nelson bassist Daniel Biro.

Recorded in Nashville, TN, Hawk Nelson enlisted producer Steve Wilson to craft what was to become a 12-song set that sweeps from the manic to the mellow and all points in between. Methodical uses of music weapon

One of the most surprising aspects of musical culture in the post-Cold War United States is the methodical use of music as a weapon of war. First impending to mainstream attention in 1989, when US troops blare loud music in an effort to induce Panamanian president Manuel Norriega’s surrender, the use of “acoustic bombardment” has turn into standard practice on the battlefields of Iraq, and purposely musical bombardment has joined sensory deficiency and sexual humiliation as among the non-lethal means by which prisoner from Abu Grab to Guantanamo may be coerced to yield their secrets without violate US law.

The dreadfully thought that music could be an instrument of torture confronts us with a novel—and disturbing—viewpoint on contemporary musicality in the United States. What is it that we in the United States might recognize about ourselves by contemplating this viewpoint? What does our government’s use of music in the “war on terror” tell us about us?

Carried Away Christmas song “Snow Falls&quot

(NASHVILLE, TENN.) — Carried Away has recorded a new song, "Snow Falls," for the Christmas season, which is available now as a free download at the all-new Carried Away Insiders (C.A.I.) fansite (www.insiders.carriedaway.ca). The song will also be available at iTunes on December 3rd, and is currently receiving airplay on both mainstream and Christian radio stations throughout North America.

To coincide with the release of "Snow Falls," Carried Away has released an interactive music video which can be found exclusively at the Carried Away Insiders fansite (www.insiders.carriedaway.ca). There is no cost to become a Carried Away Insider, and the interactive website hosts exclusive song downloads, journals, contests and more – all free!

"Christmas is ‘the most wonderful time of the year,’ but for a lot of people, it can also be sad, lonely and one of the most challenging times," explains Carried Away’s Colleen Walker. "We wrote this song to let people know that even though they may not be feeling the ‘Christmas Spirit’ that God is there for them. That’s really our Christmas message: although life isn’t perfect and is sometimes downright hard, God sent Jesus to redeem all situations."

"Snow has been often compared to God’s Spirit because it covers all with pure white," adds group member Christine Prankard. "We wanted this song to remind people that no matter what’s going on in their life, God’s love and mercy can cover all. Jesus is here for them when they’re figuring out their credit card debt, arguing with their families over the ‘right way’ to do Christmas or fighting loneliness."

"Ultimately, we wanted to put a smile on people’s faces this year," says the trio’s Pam Walker. Billy Ray ‘sad’ about images of Miley smoking salvia

Miley Cyrus’ father Billy Ray Cyrus has expressed his displeasure with her for being seen smoking a legal high.

The ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ hitmaker – who is currently divorcing wife Tish – took to twitter following the video of 18-year-old Miley smoking salvia from a bong.

He wrote: "Sorry guys. I had no idea. Just saw this stuff for the first time myself. I’m so sad. There is so much further than my control right now."

Anthony Adams – a former California State Assemblyman who previously tried to ban the drug in his state – believes salvia, which is legal in a number of U.S. states, can make people do "crazy" things and has annoying her for being irresponsible to her legions of young fans.

He said: "You do very crazy things. Miley is a star and young kids are going to imitate her behavior."

In the video taken of Miley smoking the drug, she is seen confusing a party guest for ‘Last Song’ co-star and ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth as well as sniggering uncontrollably.

She said: "OK, I’m about to lose it now. I’m having a little bit of a trip right now.

"Oh my God! He looks so much like him! He looks so much like Liam. Is that me tripping? He doesn’t look like Liam at all? Dude, that looks just like Liam!"

The clock struck midnight and fetched good news for Lady Gaga fans.

As promised, the pop superstar tweeted a big statement with regard to her forthcoming album, Born This Way. While others were tasting champagne to trumpet in the New Year, the Gaga faithful were pending news from their beloved. And at midnight, the singer tweeted that her third album will be free in stores on May 23 and the first single from it will be released on February 13.

"THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11," is all she wrote.

Along with the statement, Gaga tweeted a new black-and-white photo in which she is nude from the waist down, with her hair blowing about, and sporting a jacket with the album’s title emblazoned in what look like dazed jewels.

Before she made the statement official, she teased her Twitter followers with lyrics from Born This Way, writing, "I’m beautiful in my way, ’cause God makes no mistakes/ I’m on the right track baby, I was born this way/ Don’t hide yourself in regret, just love yourself and you’re set/ I’m on the right track, baby, I was born this way."

This could be one more stellar year for Gaga. Her last album, The Fame Monster, was the best-selling album of 2010 worldwide, selling nearly 6 million copies. She also has had seven successive singles that have been top 10 hits, with two of them hitting no. 1.
